And what if rap had been the first and true manifestation of the Grand Paris? Paname, le Grand Paris du rap tells the story of an extraordinary decade, the 2010s, during which the Île-de-France region established itself as one of the main centers of rap music worldwide. From the Sexion d'Assaut to PNL, via l'Entourage, Kaaris, MHD and Fianso, we delve into the roots of this scene, drawing on its diversity, and navigating both sides of the ring road: a look back at ten years that have changed music... or that music has changed.

Elaine Bradford is a young singer and dancer, looking for her big break. Peter Carlton is a gossip columnist facing a deadline and a blank page. So, Peter invents "Mrs. Smythe-Smythe", a mysterious Englishwoman who spends her days hunting tigers in India, jumping out of airplanes, and generally driving men mad with her beauty. Since no one in London has ever seen Mrs. Smythe-Smythe, Elaine decides to impersonate the lady, in hopes that the publicity will land her the big break she's been looking for.

Le Petit Journal est une émission de télévision d’infotainment diffusée sur la chaîne de télévision française Canal depuis 2004. En Belgique et au Luxembourg, elle est diffusée sur Be 1. Présentée par Yann Barthès depuis 2004, d'abord sous forme de chronique, elle fait partie intégrante de l'émission Le Grand Journal du 30 août 2004 au 1er juillet 2011, avant de devenir une émission à part entière depuis le 29 août 2011. L'émission est produite par Laurent Bon et Yann Barthès, pour la société Bangumi productions qu'ils dirigent et ont créée en 2009. Entre août 2011 et août 2013, l'émission est diffusée de 20 h 10 à 20 h 25. Elle n'est plus réalisée ou enregistrée depuis le plateau du Grand Journal mais dans un studio indépendant, à proximité. Le nouveau format laisse la place à un invité en plateau interrogé par Yann Barthès. Les reportages politiques sont confiés à Salhia Brakhlia. Ce nouveau format a fait découvrir Quentin Margot et Éric Metzger, deux auteurs qui interviennent sur le plateau ou en magnéto sous forme de petits sketchs2. Également en 2012, Charlotte Le Bon présente une chronique humoristique hebdomadaire avec ces deux derniers, « La leçon de Charlotte Le Bon ». Le mélange des genres (humour et information, donc de l'infotainment) pratiqué par l'émission ainsi que son maquillage d'information (via le montage) est remis en cause par certains journalistes3. À noter que l'émission est filmée en direct du lundi au jeudi et que la diffusion du vendredi est enregistrée le jeudi4. Pour le festival de Cannes 2013, l'émission a été diffusée à 20 h 30 afin de ne pas couper Le Grand Journal en deux parties. Comme cet horaire a plu aux téléspectateurs, l'émission restera à cet horaire dès la rentrée 2013.

Ten year old Jared Marshall's life crumbled down after his parents' divorce a year ago. Not only does his dad put his job first since, mother uproots him from Iowa by moving in with her ma so she can take a job in California. When Jared's class writes letters to US troops in Bosnia from the nearest base, kindhearted Sergeant First Class Vince Carerra, who grew up fatherless and got divorced because his wife wasn't faithful while he was on tour of duty, takes to the kid and starts a correspondence with 'fatherly' advice. Once his unit returns to Fort Sebastian, Vince calls on Jared's home, warmly welcomed. Vince becomes Jared's personal baseball coach and after some Cupid encouragement, his mother's boyfriend, but on an understanding not to commit because he's likely to be redeployed.

Rémi Tremblay, a young hardworking low-level manager is demoted because of an alleged lack of zeal. Cut to the quick, he decides to move into his office in order to devote himself to his company 24/7. His ambitious boss, Georges Quintal, not impressed by this sudden change of heart and worried that it may threaten his good standing with the president, vows to get him fired.

Le Grand Charles was a 2006 French TV-drama on the life of Charles de Gaulle from 1939 to 1959, written and directed by Bernard Stora. De Gaulle was played by Bernard Farcy, Winston Churchill by David Ryall, and Franklin D. Roosevelt by Robert Hardy. Other actors in the cast included Dominic Gould, Sam Spiegel and Jay Benedict.
